York Adopt-A-Pet
Who We Are
Our purpose is to rescue abandoned, neglected and/or injured animals
and return them to their home or find them a new responsible home.
Volunteers are always appreciated! We need foster homes for puppies and
pregnant dogs and cats. Volunteers can also exercise, clean, and feed
the animals at our facility. Volunteers under 12 years of age must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian. We rely entirely on donations to
care for our animals. Tax-deductible donations can be mailed to our
address. Please call if you wish to make a non-monetary donation.
Adopting a friend
York Adopt-A-Pet charges an adoption fee which varies depending upon
the care given to the animal. This fee covers distemper/parvo/corona
vaccinations, de-worming and rehabilitation. Spaying and neutering are
done when possible and a heartworm test is given for at risk animals.
Adopters must sign an agreement to spay or neuter the dog within 30
days.
