Mid - Atlantic Pug Rescue
Who We Are
Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue is a
501 (c)3 non-profit organization
. We here at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue, Inc. are a group of diverse individuals who have united for the purpose of rescuing Pugs. We come from many walks of life, and have agreed to donate our many and varied talents so that pugs everywhere can live out their lives with comfort, love and caring. We are all volunteers, with no paid employees. Each person serves in the way best suited to their lifestyle and individual skills.
All pugs are fostered in private homes, given any vet care needed, and their personalities are carefully assessed to determine exactly the sort of home they need.

What are the fees involved in adopting a pug?
Our adoption fee is $350 for pugs under 2 years, $300 for pugs 2-6 years of age. And $250 for Seniors.
What does this fee cover?
All pugs will be vet checked and any medical issues treated or resolved to the best of our abilities. All pugs are spayed/neutered before being placed. They are dewormed, vaccinated, rabies, heartworm test completed and preventative started, and a microchip is inserted.
Once I fill out an adoption application, what can I expect?
Our pugs are NOT placed first-come-first-serve. Rather, while they are in foster care, their personalities are assessed, and they are matched up with a forever home based on what the home is looking for in a pug and what the pug needs. If you are found to be a potential match based on your application, a representative will contact you for an interview. A home visit will then be arranged. PLEASE realize several homes are interviewed for each pug in order to guarantee the best possible match.
If I am approved for an adoption, how will I get my pug?
All applicants are required to arrange transportation to adopt their pug. We have contacts across several states, and will do our best to facilitate getting your new family member home, but ultimately, it is your responsibility.
Where does my donation go?
Your donation goes towards such things as: veterinary treatment for rescued pugs, medicines, food and supplies, and educational materials. Again, noone at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue is paid - except in pug kisses - and they're SO SWEET!
Come Visit Us!
Our pugs are fostered in private homes across six states, so where your new family member may be located can vary. We will work with new families to help make travel arrangements. Our headquarters are in Holly Springs, NC.
