Who We Are
Pender County Animal Control is a small rural shelter that is located in
a big county. Pender Co. is 900 sq. miles of country roads and beaches,
stretching east from Topsail Island to west of HWY 421 and south from
the New Hanover county line to north at the Onslow and Duplin county lines.
The shelter is located in Burgaw, NC. about 25 miles north of Wilmington, NC.
While we are NOT a no-kill facility, we are RESCUE FRIENDLY.

We are about 25 mins north of Wilmington, NC. Take Interstate 40 to the Burgaw exit # 398 . Take Hwy 53 west for 6.3 miles to New Savannah Rd. Go right on
New Savannah Rd. & go about 1/4 mile. The shelter is on the left.
