We have just incorporated and have received our exempt status (501c3) We currently have forty four dogs onsite, almost all are scent hounds..
Who We Are
We are a rescue, concentrating on scent hounds here in eastern Carolina. Our aim is to recover, rehabilitate and relocate our hounds with loving families. These dogs are intelligent, loyal, loving and gentle. We take the dogs as they come and do our best to correct any health problems before placing them on our adoptable list. We have received non-profit status.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption process:
1. Contact us and we will send you an application.
2. We will verify pets living conditions.
3. We will check your vets reference, if you do not have a vet currently, we will monitor whatever vet you select for one year to ensure your pet is getting proper treatment.
4. There is a $135 adoption fee for our adult pets puppies are higher because of additional shots and vet visits required. (The initial vet screening for dogs costs that much not counting nutering/spay or treatment for whatever conditions they might have. We do not put pets up for adoption until they are in good health.) We will provide a copy of the pets health records.
Please understand that we would not have these pets if they had been properly cared for, their well being is our primary concern.
