Adopting Our Friends
Our volunteer group is dedicated to the well-being of our pets. Our adoption process is very easy and revolves around locating an ideal home for our animals. If you see an animal that you believe would fit your lifestyle and make a wonderful addition to your family, please contact the foster parent that is listed with the animal.We place great trust in our foster homes. They have the priviledge and the final say in who adopts the animals they are taking care of. You should also visit www.yadkinhumane.org and complete an adoption application. References for adoptive families are reviewed, and adoptive homes are qualified in the order applications are received. Our adoption fee for puppies/dogs is $100 and for kittens/cats it is $75 - this covers de-worming, initial shots, and the spay/neuter.

Our team of dedicated volunteers holds Adoption Fairs as often as possible on Saturdays at PETsMART on Hanes Mall Boulevard in Winston-Salem from 10:00am until 2:00pm. To confirm that we will be onsite, or if there is a particular animal you'd like to be sure will be at PETsMART to meet you, please give us a call at 336-463-4990 and let us know.Join us!
The animals without voices need you! Have a little spare time, or just have the need to be a part of a compassionate cause? The YCHS needs members who are loyal, caring people. Be as involved as you would like to be.Not a county resident? Not a problem. As long as you love your animals, we want you as part of our team. Yearly individual memberships are $10, family membership is $15. Please call 336-463-4990, or check out our website (see link below) for a membership application.
