Who We Are

The Franklin County Humane Society is a grassroots organization, all volunteers, dedicated to helping the homeless animals in Franklin County. We are a 501C nonprofit so any donations are tax-deductible. Our mission is to provide temporary shelter for abandoned or unwanted dogs and cats and adopt them into good forever homes. To encourage spay/neuter of pets. To prevent cruelty. To provide education to the community on responsible animal care and welfare. We need your help to continue our mission. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed. Please contact us at 919-990-1045 to volunteer. We desperately need foster homes, please email us at fchsinfonc@yahoo.com or 919-990-1045 if you can provide a foster home for a dog or a cat. The Franklin County Humane Society pulls dogs from the Franklin County Animal Control shelter as time and space allow. All dogs are housed at homes of volunteers until spayed or neutered, healthy and ready for new homes. If you would like to donate, your contribution is tax deductible. It will help us to provide medical care for the animals we pull to give them a second chance at a great life
