Fauna Rescue is no longer taking in ANY cats for ANY reason do to permanent residents at the rescue aggression towards them.b>

Fauna Rescue is a small, non-profit, rescue dedicated to finding homes for abused, abandoned, or any animal which needs a home. We dont have an actual "shelter", but we do have a lovely little country place which is a temporary home to many animals who are looking for their new owners, and new lives. The majority of animals at the rescue have come as strays that other people have found and brought to us. This rescue considers each and every animal here part of our family, weather they have been here for months or days, they each are looked upon with equal care and love. We try our best to keep from having to mark "HOME WITHOUT CATS" or "HOME WITHOUT DOGS" on their description by letting them interact with the permanent residents at the rescue. We are very small, so we can usually only handle about two rescue dog's at a time. We take all breeds, ages, and sizes!

Each dog is different, therefore Fauna Rescue does not have set adoption requirments for all animals, but more of individial ones for each animal. If you are intrested in adopting an animal, please call and schedule an appointment to meet them. If things go well, a trial period of two weeks is done before the adoption papers are acutally signed. If all goes well, we simply mail you an adoption contract, vet records stating the care the animal recieved while at the rescue, and any other information you might need. All you have to do is simply mail the contract back filled out, along with a money order covering the adoption fee. (Fauna Rescue is also willing, (and enjoys) visiting where you live! If you would like for us to bring the pet to you just call and we can make arrangements as long as its within a reasonable distance!)p>
If the animal has only been at the rescue a few days before a potential adopter is intrested, Fauna Rescue requires the animal be spayed/neutered and uptodate on shots before we release the pet to you. If you would like the dog to be taken to your personal vet, arrangments can be made.

Fauna Rescue is based out of my home, in Greensboro, North Carolina (Guilford County). I am more than happy to have visitors at any time, so please call or e-mail and I am sure we can set up a time. I am reasonable, and am more than willing to work around your schedule!
