Precious Paws Rescue, Inc.
A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Animal Rescue Incorporated in NC
Taz
Taz is a 3 to 4 year old black cocker spaniel with a full tail. He is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and has been neutered. Taz has a unique gait, as one of his back legs was broken prior to coming to rescue, and wasn't set correctly. By the time he got to rescue, the bones were already fused, and since it doesn't cause him pain, our vet has recommended leaving it alone. It doesn't slow him down a bit, because he keeps up running with his foster mom's 3 siberian huskies! Taz loves to run and romp and play. He is crate-trained, housebroken, and weighs about 25lbs. He has loving disposition, and his Christmas wish is to find a loving home to live in!

Precious Paws Rescue, Inc. is officially recognized by the state of North Carolina and Federal IRS as a non-profit, tax exempt organization, also called a 501(c)(3). What does that mean? Any donations we receive are tax-deductible for the contributor ... so everyone wins! Our entire organization is staffed by volunteers, so ALL of the monies donated go 100% to the care of the animals!
Precious Paws Rescue, Inc. ~ established in 2002 ~ is an organization determined to make a difference for as many animals as we can by rescuing them from kill-shelters, providing them with the best possible veterinary and general care, rehabilitating them both physically and emotionally in preparation for adopting them into their "Forever Home" with a loving new owner or family!
We have a "Seniors for Seniors" program, in which senior citizens, retirees and homebound are able to adopt adult dogs at reduced adoption fees! This is a "win-win" situation because the people are getting a companion for life, and mature adult dogs (that are usually overlooked in favor of bouncing happy puppies) get a loving forever home!
We also have programs that allow individuals and organizations to "sponsor" pets that are available on our web page, allowing the busier pet-lovers the opportunity to help our cause without personally taking on the physical responsibilities of taking care of a pet by adopting or fostering! If you'd like to become a sponsor, please email us at
rescue_admin@preciouspawsrescue.com ! We'd love to hear from you!
Our adoption process is relatively simple and painless! The first step is to submit an online application. Once your application has been reviewed, we'll get back in touch with you regarding the specifics on the pet you're interested in, as well as possibly ask a few questions to make sure you and the pet you want are a perfect match!
We do require an adoption donation, which varies depending on the amount we have invested in the care of the particular pet you're interested in. The average adoption donation is $150. Senior dogs usually have an adoption donation of $75. Adoption donations do not exceed $300, and this is the rare case of an animal that has required extensive medical, dental, or other veterinary procedures. We are not in this business to make money ... every cent goes into the animals we care for to get them in the BEST POSSIBLE CONDITION to go home with YOU!
If you are interested in giving a donation, please contact us via email at donations@preciouspawsrescue.com. We are in need of the following items, in new or near new condition:
chew toys, stuffed dog toys, kongs, etc.
bedding
crates
carriers
retractable leashes and collars for small to medium sized dogs
If you have other dog-related items you'd like to donate, please email us with a description of the item and we will make further arrangments!
We are located in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can contact the rescue administrator if you are interested in visiting a particular animal. All animals are in "foster" homes ... so we don't have a centralized location, but you can check us out on the web at www.preciouspawsrescue.com ! Sign our guestbook!
