Come visit our new Animal Adoption Center at 290 Eaton Road in Mocksville, NC!! Our public hours are: Tuesday 11am-7pm, Wednesday thru Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-2pm. We are closed on Sundays and open Monday by appointment only. We have several very sweet cats and dogs looking for good "forever" homes.

The Humane Society of Davie County conducts two major fundraisers each year: Cause for Paws in March and Doggie Jog in October. These events are growing as more people learn of them and join in the fun. Community sponsors make it possible to hold these events and we thank them for their support of our efforts to help the homeless animals of Davie County. Spay-Neuter Program
Coupons are now available to provide financial assistance to needy residents of Davie County who wish to have their pets spayed or neutered. Applications may be picked up at the Davie County Library, Davie County Social Services, local vet offices, or at the HS Animal Adoption Center. Please be a responsible pet owner: spay or neuter your pet. Call 336-751-5214 for more information.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit, tax exempt group that incorporated in 1991 to help improve conditions at the county animal shelter. We rescue shelter animals and adopt them through our foster care program. We encourage spay/neuter by providing education and financial assistance. We participate in community events to try to educate the public on humane and responsible pet ownership.
Adopting a Friend
Dogs and cats for adoption may be seen at PetsMart on the 4th Saturday of each month. You may obtain information about all available animals for adoption by calling us at any time at 336-751-5214. The adoption fee for cats is $80 and dogs is $95. Dogs will be tested negative for heartworm and cats will be tested negative for leukemia/FIV. All adopted animals will be spayed/neutered, given one set of vaccinations and a Rabies vaccine at the Humane Society's expense.
Come Visit Us!
Our meetings are held at our Animal Adoption Center at 290 Eaton Rd. in Mocksville. The meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of even numbered months, (ex: Feb. Apr. June etc) and the public is welcome to attend. Our adoption center is about one half mile from Eaton road's entrance. You will see signs for the County animal shelter which is at the end of the same road. Drive on down to the county shelter and you will see why we needed an adoption center. Our goal is to adopt all healthy, adoptable animals in Davie County.
