Pet Rescue/Placement (PR/P) founded 6-04.
Pet Rescue/Placement (PR/P) is a private non profit organization that takes a limited number of pets each year that are about to lose their homes and saves them so they do not become strays and so they are not left on the streets and abandoned. PR/P is not a Humane Society and we do not pick up stray animals. If you find a lost pet please call your local Humane Society or the police in your area to help get the pet to safety.
Pet Rescue/Placement Mission:
1. PR/P protects animals and finds homes for pets that are about to become homeless or abandoned.
2.PR/P provides education to families/schools/communities on the care of pets.
3. PR/P provides annual dog obedience classes.
4. PR/P fund raises monies to be used for free spay and neutering of dogs and cats.
5. PR/P provides free personalized animal tags for identification with all pets adopted.
News: PR/P just finished dog obedience classes for the county 4 H kids for the second year. We had 12 children/dogs and they went on to compete in the county 4 H dog show. What fun and many ribbons were awarded. What we hope the kids learned from this is how important manners are in their pets and the pets will then keep their forever homes.
Adopting a friend
Pet Rescue/Placement has a contract to make sure that all animals adopted are spay and neutered.
Glenwood MN is just off of Hwy 55 NW of Mpls about 150 miles. Close to Alexandria. PR/P overlooks Lake Minnewaska and is on a wonderful farm. Great area to visit.
