*PREMIER PET SUPPLIES located in Beverly Hills on Southfield Rd. just north of 13 mile Rd. Cats and kittens can be seen at Premier Pet Supplies 7 days a week during store hrs. Monday -Sat. 9a.m-9p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-6p.m. *PETCO in Troy , west side of Coolidge and south of 15 Mile Rd. Please call Irene at 248-981-6582 to find out which Saturdays our adoption shows are held at Petco in Troy.

Who We Are

Companion Pet Rescue is a nonprofit, NON_KILL rescue group organization, 501(c)(3) recognized, operated solely by volunteers, rescuing abandoned dogs and cats .We depend on public donations to help support us since we receive no federal or state funds. All donation are tax-deductible. Our mission is to find loving permanent homes for as many unwanted companion pets as possible by expanding awareness of the health benefits of pet ownership. We are hoping to bring more people to our adoption sites by educating the public about overpopulation and the ugly truth that the vast majority of homeless animals across the country never get homes they so deserve. We want people to know that by saving an animals life today not only are they hepling in our struggle to find every animal we can a home but by saving an animal today they could be saving their own life tomorrow. It has been scientifically proven that the human-animal relationship ie. loving and receiving unconditional love, has tremendous benefits in lowering stress, blood pressure and coping with life's challenges, improveing overall health, independence and quality of life. This is why our motto is "SAVE A COMPANION PET TODAY IT MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE TOMMOROW". MILLIONS of unwanted companion animals are euthanized each year in the United States. We take every opportunity to educate the public about the tragedy of pet overpopulation, the consequences of irresponsible pet ownership and about the importance of SPAYING & NEUTERING ALL PETS.

Adopting a friend

All our adoptable animals are vaccinated, heartworm tested (dogs), feline leukemia/FIV tested ( cats ), dewormed and if they are old enough, spayed or neutered. If they are too young to be spayed or neutered when adopted, a voucher is provided to have them altered at the appropriate age. This is all covered under our adoption fee. All potential adopters are interviewed by a CPR rep. and then asked to fill out an adoption application . This simple questionnaire helps to further determine whether the animal and the adopter are suitable for each other. We contact your references and visit you in your house. After approval the adoption contract-formal legal document is signed by both party (adopter and CPR-rep.) All provisions and medical records are clearly explained and a copy of all applicable records is provided to the adopter. .In all cases,CPR and/or any of its representatives reserves the right to refuse any adoption for any reason. Our decisions are made based on a best interest of the animal. We do NOT ADOPT outside of the Mtro Detroit are as we do check homes prior an adoption. We do NOT ADOPT young puppies to the homes with small children under 6 years of age.

Companion Pet Rescue Adoption Fees :

Puppies, Pure Breed Dogs and Dogs under 30 LB (up to 5 years) $350.00
Mix Breed Dogs over 30 LB $250.00
Adult Cats and Kittens $150.00

The adoption fee helps offset only SOME of the cost of basic veterinary care, feeding and housing it does not cover the cost of any extraordinary veterinary care the animal may require or the standard operating costs of our group. We are largely dependent upon tax-deductible donations so any generous support from individuals and businesses is highly appreciated.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED-HELP

All of our foster homes are currently full. WE DESPERATELY NEED MORE FOSTER HOMES. We do not want to have to turn away any dog or cat in need because we don't have a foster home for them. PLEASE consider fostering a homeless pet. If you are interested in fostering please e-mail Anna. Foster homes must be approved by Companion Pet Rescue. A home check and foster application form must be completed prior to fostering .
