Mission Statement:
"To prevent cruelty to and neglect of animals in Eaton County, Michigan and surrounding areas as finances allow, through means including education of animal owners and the general public in the humane treatment of animals, reduction of animal over-population by encouraging spaying and neutering of domestic animals not intended for breeding, support for animal adoptions by caring persons and raising funds needed to support the organizations work."

Join us for our monthly board meetings, every third Monday of the month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at our office in Charlotte MI - 108 South Washington Street.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED
We are looking for foster homes in the greater Eaton County Area. If you would like to share a little love with cats or dogs (or possibly some other furry friends), please give us a call at (517) 541-9640.
Who We Are
The Eaton County Humane Society is a non-profit organization committed to public education of domesticated animal issues and re-homing of the great pets. Our five main priorities are:
* The ECHS will help homeless domesticated animals find permanent, loving homes by increasing visibility of animals available for adoption, increasing the number of foster homes within the county, and work for a permanent solution for interim housing of homeless animals.
* The ECHS will work tirelessly to increase the spay/neuter rate of pets within Eaton county by continuing to educate the public on the importance and benefits of spaying/neutering and to help offer low-cost spay/neuter operations to low income Eaton county pet owners.
We currently do not have a shelter. All of our pets are cared for in foster homes. We will be moving into a shelter facility soon! Check back for more information!
The Eaton County Humane Society is run by a Board of Directors, with day-to-day operations supervised by an Executive Director. The Board of Directors is elected from within and by the General Membership of the Eaton County Humane Society.
