We are now in Cedar Springs!! All set back up and ready to roll~!
Bellowood is a 501(c)3, Non Profit Organization completely operational due to some very dedicated, knowledgeable volunteers, but we can only make a difference with your help!

UPDATE: 5-20-05 Every one of these dogs have found wonderful homes! Thank you to all the families that were willing to give these dogs the life that they have always dreamed of and deserved! They will never know pain, hunger and loneliness again!
Update: HBO HAS DONE A DOCUMENTARY ON CC BAIRD!! It's called "America Dealing Dog", scheduled showings throughout March!!.....If you have the access to watch, bring tissues, and remember that we made a difference to nearly 4 DOZEN of those poor dogs. We, with YOUR HELP, made a difference for the lucky ones to come here, to Bellowood. THANK YOU, From Baron, Teddy, Abe, Hambone, Stonewall, Wiston, James and the many, many others!! THANK YOU!!

Who We Are
We are a small rescue located in Cedar Springs, Michigan. We strive to match up, the right dog/puppy with the right family, and to help the new families with a smooth transition. We are always available to help in anyway we can ~ 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week! ....Feel Free to call Anytime! 616-696-2846
Adopting a friend
ABSOLUTELY! NO INTERNATIONAL ADOPTIONS! (with the exception of Canada!)The procedure for adoption is as follows: First we require that you call or email for an interview. Your interview will be taken into consideration and you will receive word within 12-24 business-day hours.
If you are approved, we will arrange for a homevisit, this may or may not be done by a volunteer of a different organization.
Finally (if approved of course~) you are welcomed out to visit with the dog/puppy you are interested in.
At that time you will be given "brief" on certain behaviors noticed while in our care and what the dog knows or doesn't know, also a run down of the health record and when he or she will need to next visit the vet. We have an adoption agreement (which can also be view by contacting us) and adoption fee.
Fees are based on the care/cost of a specific dog. Most adoption fees are between $100 and $300, again, depending on the age and the medical care cost of a particular dog....
Typically Dogs are $150, and Females are $200. If their an adoption fee listed on their bio that is different from this "general rule", it's because the cost was more or less than the norm.
