Who We Are

Australian Shepherd Rescue in Michigan, Inc. (ASRiM) is an organization for adoptions and referrals of Australian Shepherds, dedicated to placing dogs that have been abandoned, neglected, or whose present home can not keep them any longer. ASRiM strives to find the best match between the dog and the home. Our goal is to place each dog into a permanent home where it will become a loved and cared for member of the household. ASRiM is comprised of members of national Aussie Rescue organizations and local volunteers.

Adopting a friend

When a new dog comes into our program, or we are informed of an Aussie in a shelter, we first contact suitable families from our list of pre-approved adopters. Dogs may be placed without being listed on this web site. We encourage you to fill out an adoption application in advance.
