We have taken over all adoptions at Muskegon Vector Control. We offer two types of adoptions. We adopt out dogs from Muskegon Vector Control that were picked up or bought in as strays. These dogs are at the shelter on Keating and will have a "w" and a "c" in their ID numbers. And we have dogs that are taken from Vector Control and placed in temporary foster homes. These are called PBR, (Pound Buddies Rescue), Foster dogs and will have the letters PBR and a name in their ID. Dogs with the letters "SR" by their names are housed in a seperate section at the shelter awaiting foster homes to open up. Please scroll down to see where the pet you are interested in is housed. The adoption fees are different for Vector Control dogs and Foster dogs. For directions to the shelter please scroll to the bottom of this page. Shelter hours to see shelter dogs are on Wed. from 5:30-7:00 and Saturday from 11:00-1:30. You must have an approved application to meet a foster dog since they live with families. Please watch our page for Adopt-A-Days for a chance to meet our foster dogs.
