Michigan Rabbit Rescue

Michigan Rabbit Rescue

Our Pet List

Our Mission

Michigan Rabbit Rescue is is a not-for-profit organization committed to finding loving, permanent homes for surrendered and abandoned domestic rabbits and educating the public on the proper care of pet rabbits. We work closely with other animal welfare groups with the goal of eliminating euthanasia of healthy domestic rabbits due to lack of shelter space.

Adopting A Rabbit

The adoption donation fee of $59, payable to Michigan Rabbit Rescue, is based on the fees we pay to have rabbits spayed or neutered. This fee also includes the cost of a copy of the House Rabbit Handbook ($9.00) which is provided with all adoptions. People adopting a pair of rabbits need not pay the book fee a second time. Our adoption counselors screen all potential adopters. This process may take place initially by phone or by e-mail, but will always include an in-person interview.
