News:


We have received many, many calls recently from people who have to give up their ferrets for one reason or another. If you do not see a listing for a ferret from us that you would like, please contact us anyway as we may have more coming in or we can refer you to another shelter in our area.


Who We Are:


B10 Ferrets, Inc. has been in business since 1992 breeding and selling ferrets. In 1996, we stopped breeding and became a rescue for ferrets because of the tremendous amount of them being abandoned and destroyed at county animal shelters. We have never, never put a ferret down for any reason. We always take care of them until we adopt them out.


Adopting a Friend:


FIRST TIME FERRET OWNERS:


We recommend for the first time ferret owner to obtain any one of the ferret booklets available and most pet food stores such as Chow Hound,  Pet Supplies Plus, Pet Food Warehouse, etc. The booklet should be read cover to cover (about an hour's worth). This will give you about 90% of what you need to know of owning a ferret. The other 10% you need to know will come from actually owning your ferret.


ALREADY OWN A FERRET?:


For those of you who wish to add to your family another ferret, we recommend contacting us with the age and sex of your current rug rats. We then will recommend a ferret (or more) based on your current situation.


FEES & SUCH:


All ferrets brought to us are examined by our vet for parasites, illnesses and physical examination. All ferrets are altered and given a dis-temper shot and rabies shot. 

Adoption fees are between $25.00 to $50.00 (plus sales tax), depending on the vet's bill. All fees go to the operation of the shelter.



Volunteering and Donations:


B10 FERRETS, Inc. is a corporation and is self sufficient and self supporting from the adoption fees collected. Donations and volunteering are not required.
