NEWS

DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Beginning every 6 weeks from 6:00PM to 7:00PM, with trainer Debbie Berthiaume. Pre-register now for this six week class. Dogs must be old enough to have a rabies shot. Registration is required before classes start, as space is limited. To register or for questions, call 873-2430 or e-mail to adoptions@hswa.org.

VOLUNTEERS: Do you have some spare time and love animals? We sure could use your help. There are many jobs that we need help with. It could be walking dogs, cleaning pens, folding letters, etc. If you think you can make a committment, give us a call. Our volunteer co-ordinator, Joette Marks, would be glad to speak to you.

ADOPTING A FRIEND


Our ADOPTION APPLICATION can be accessed on our shelter website www.hswa.org under the ADOPTION PROCEDURE menu option. Print out the form specifying the pet you wish to adopt, then fax the application to us at 207-872-9222. If you do not have access to a fax machine, you may e-mail your answers to our application questions to adoptions@hswa.org.

Our adoption fees are as follows:

CATS & KITTENS: $65 which includes distemper vaccination, feline bordetella vaccination, feline leukemia/FIV test, de-worming, flea treatment, rabies vaccination (depending on age of cat), a $30 voucher towards the Spay or Neuter surgery, a microchip, and a carrier to take them home.

DOGS: $85 which includes parvo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heartworm/lyme test, de-worming, rabies vaccination (depending on age of dog), a $50 voucher towards the Spay or Neuter surgery, a microchip, and a leash to take them home.

PUPPIES: $125 which includes parvo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, heartworm/lyme test, de-worming, rabies vaccination (depending on age of puppy), a $50 voucher towards the Spay or Neuter surgery, a microchip, and a leash to take them home, and a certificate for dog obedience classes.

RABBITS: $40 which includes Spay or Neuter surgery, and a carrier to take them home.

GUINEA PIGS/HAMSTERS: $10 which includes a carrier to take them home.
