Come to one of the Animal Shelter's Thursday Rabies Vaccination and micro-chipping clinics, where Rabies vaccinations are just $7 and Micro-chipping costs $20 (including lifetime registration). Make your pet's appointment by calling 410-887-5961.
It's pet license renewal time! All dogs and cats in Baltimore County must be licensed annually. The fee for new 2009 annual dog and cat licenses varies, with discounts for senior citizen pet owners and for pets that have been spayed or neutered. Proof of a current Rabies vaccination is required. Get your license today!

Who We Are
As a division of the Baltimore County Department of Health, we enforce the animal laws, investigate complaints of cruelty and neglect, and operate the Baltimore County Animal Shelter. Baltimore County recognizes that losing a pet is a very traumatic experience. For the convenience of worried pet owners, ours is the only animal shelter in Baltimore County that is authorized to accept stray pets. Sadly, many of the dogs and cats arriving at our shelter are not wearing any identification. One of the most important things that you can do to protect your pet is to securely attach an annual dog or cat license to your pet's collar. Consider micro-chipping as an additional form of identification, and have all of the family's pets spayed or neutered.
Adopting a friend
Our pets are placed up for adoption the minute they arrive. Some pets are ready to go and some need to see the veterinarian before they go to their new homes. You may have to make more than one trip to get your new family member. The adoption fee is $60.00 for all pets. Our adoption hours are Monday through Saturday 10 am - 3 pm.

We are about 15 minutes north of Towson. Take exit 27B (Dulaney Valley Road) North off Interstate 695 in Towson. After crossing the Loch Raven Reservoir, bear off to your right to continue on Dulaney Valley Road. Follow the signs for Dulaney Valley Road until it dead ends at Manor Road. Make a left on Manor Road. You will find us in less than a mile on your left side at 13800 Manor Road.
