Who We Are
Roberts Rescue is a small nonprofit group of volunteers dedicated to finding forever homes for the unwanted animals of Maryland. We all have our own full time jobs and families, not to mention our own dogs and cats! We dedicate our spare time to helping these pets in need. Most of our animals come from shelters or are found wandering the streets of Baltimore. When space and funds allow we do accept owner surrenders into our program. We do not rescue specific breeds but we lend a helping hand to all needy animals when we can. However we do specialize in Bully Breeds (English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, Boxers, etc.) therefore we also work with Ethical Bull Breed Rescue and Referral, Inc. (EBBRR) to help place Bully Breeds from across the country. EBBRR is a large network of volunteers dedicated to saving homeless Bullies from all over the USA. Adopting a friend
Roberts Rescue strives to adopt each and every pet into the best possible home. In order to do this we require an Adoption Application, Reference Checks, Home Visits, and an Adoption Contract. We also require an Adoption Fee to help cover some of our veterinary expenses. Adoption fees are usually $200 but vary depending on the amount of vet care the animal required and received when it entered our program. Our home visits are preformed prior to adoption and we will continue to do home visits every so often once the animal has been adopted. We will continue to keep in touch with you throughout the animal?s life. We also require a Veterinary Reference to verify your current animals are up to date on their vaccines and altered. We do not ship our animals, all of our animals are placed in Maryland and surrounding states. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt one of our animals. Roberts Rescue does not have a shelter. All of our animals listed on this website are in Foster Homes, Boarding Facilities, or Shelters. Some animals listed are still with their owners until foster space opens up in our program. Please send us an email if you would like to meet one of our wonderful pets and we will do our best to set up a time for you to visit or put you in contact with the Foster Parent.
