Dog Ears and Paws is working with HSBC to provide obedience classes to people and their dogs. Training methods are natural and humane. All proceeds from the classes benefit homeless animals at HSBC and programs to train assistance dogs. Call 410-655-2858 for more information.
We are a non profit organization that takes in unwanted animals. The shelters houses dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. We are in need of dry and canned cat and dog food, treats, rawhides, kongs, nylabones, paper towels, newspapers,towels, sheets and cat litter (both clumping and unscented clay). We also accept medical supplies such as medications, bandaging materials and benadryl. Any food or medical supplies that we can not use are given to other area shelters. We also are sometimes able to provide pet food to owners who otherwise could not afford it.
All of our adoptions take 3-7 days. We ask that you come in, fill out an application on the animal you want, complete an interview with one of our adoption counselors, and then don't forget to call us back in 3 days.
Adoption fees:
dogs $150 (puppies under 6 months of age and adult dogs under 25lbs)
adult dogs (over 25lbs)
adult cats $90
kittens (under 4 months of age) $110
rabbits $50
guinea pigs $10
There is also a $5 license fee for dogs and cats if you live in Baltimore county. All pets are examined by our veterinarian, given age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and spayed or neutered. Dogs over six months are tested for heartworm disease and cats are tested for feline leukemia.
From Baltimore take 695 N to 795. Take exit 7B Franklin Boulevard West at the traffic light make a right onto Nicodemus Road.The Humane Society is several miles down on the left.
