Our Featured Pet...

Lilly and Stanley

Lilley and Stanley have lived in a home together for the past 7 years. They are now homeless through no fault of their own. They love each other and are bonded. Stanley looks to Lilley for guidance and reassurance. They are both loving, loyal dogs. They already have their house manners and training. They only need a place to call home. We would love to keep them together. Would you love to have two beautiful, well behaved babies waiting to greet you each evening? Have you wanted a dog but really do not want to deal with puppiness? Why not visit Lilley and Stanley and see if they could be what you are missing in your life?

Our Pet Of The Month...

Calvin aka Comet
Calvin is as really nice guy. He has been in a home for the last 5 years but he recently lost his home. He is all trained and ready to become someone's best friend. He is past all those puppy manners and he will fit in quickly.

Special needs and elderly dogs are always overlooked. They are the ones who need special people. Everyone wants the cute little puppy, or the young playful healthy dog.

But just think how good you would feel if you took a special needs or elderly dog home with you. A couch to rest their head and tired bodies. A warm lap to lay on, and gentle tummy rubs to say, "I'm here, someone loves you, everything will be okay" Are you that person????? Can you extend your love to a special pet, maybe a week, a month, a year??? Give it a chance, you will feel so rewarded. They are the most thankful for their home.

Congratulations!!!

Who We Are

Animal Rescue, Inc. consists of two locations...a cattery in the Putty Hill area of Baltimore, Md. and a 22 acre farm located in Pa. at the Maryland border just off Rt. 83. Animal Rescue services the greater Baltimore, Md. and York, Pa. area. Animal Rescue is a "shelter for life" for stray and abandoned animals. Animal Rescue does not accept personally owned/unwanted pets...our residents are rescued strays. Pets that are used to having their own home do not do well in an institution or environment like ours. Even though we are a shelter, all of our residents are given the best possible care to allow them to live out their natural life. NO animal is put to death because of medical expenses or the inconvenience of care. One of the major objectives of Animal Rescue is to find loving, responsible homes for it's residents.

Animal rescue is a non-profit organization that is funded mostly by donations. Our staff and group of volunteers, dedicate their time to caring for the residents at our shelter. Without the help of these animal loving people, we would not be able to help the amount of pets that we do. We are always in need of volunteers....even if it is just to take a resident dog on a nice walk! If you would like to help, please visit our website and fill out a volunteer application!!
