Who We Are

Kitty Care is a small privately run group dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for the cats in its care. Kitty Care's few volunteers have regular day jobs and volunteer their precious off time to help homeless cats. There is no shelter facility. We are not a 501c, but are most certainly a not-for-profit organization. Some of the cats were rescued from years of living on the streets trying to provide and fend for themselves, after being abandoned or lost.

Kitty Care makes every effort to try to match the cat/s with the adoptor's home environment so that all - humans and cats alike - will be happy and do well in their new lives together.

We also advocate for TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) of feral cats. Visit the Alley Cat Allies website for more information about TNR.

Due to extremely limited space and resources, Kitty Care cannot take in surrendered animals; please contact other no-kill rescue groups and no-kill shelters for assistance (there are lists on the Internet). Even better, do all that you can to find a way to keep your animal... there are many resources on the Internet on this subject that may be helpful, such as offering a pet security deposit and a pet vet reference letter for those who are looking to rent with pets.

Finding a Feline Friend

All placement inquiries are screened to enable the best possible match for both the cat and the person or family looking to adopt. Email, phone calls and personal visits may all be used in this process. A veterinary reference is required. Some of Kitty Care's rescued cats would do best in quiet homes where there is not a lot of bustling activity. Becoming a cherished new member of the family, or companion to someone living alone, is the dream of every rescued kitty!

If you are interested in inquiring about one of the kitties you see listed, please send e-mail to CaringforKitties@Yahoo.com.
