Kitty Love Cat Shelter

Our Pet List

BRAVO! Shelby, a now 8 year old cat who was adopted from Kitty Love as a kitten, has found a wonderful new permanant home. Shelby was surrendered back to the shelter because her human did not want to put money into finding out why she was having medical problems. When the human told the vet to put her down Kitty Love was contacted and quickly took her back into their care. A few days of prescription food and medicine brought her back to a very healthy cat. This lovable kitty will now have a human who will love her for the rest of her life and offer her any medical care that may be needed. Petfinder is doing even more to help shelters like Kitty Love keep their doors open................. Just go to their homepage, look under DONATE at the top of their page and get all the info on their 'Sponser A Pet" program at Petfinder.org Foundation. This is so important for the daily care of the rescued kitties in our care......... Please show you care! Our older kitties and those who initially came in feral and became wonderful, loving kitties who bonded to us and need to stay here unless a very patient person comes along are who needs "Sponsoring" the most. Please help us and the kitties out.-------------------------------------------
You come to a shelter looking for that adorable little cute kitten. That is wonderful but a few weeks later those kittens are teenagers and soon young adults and people coming through our doors don't look in their direction. We want you to see the older cats will be a companion who will show you unconditional love for many years............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Shelters have so many wonderful cats looking for "you". Every cat is different because their backgrounds are filled with abuse and abandonment. With patience you see deep inside the heart of those cats who want to trust humans again. As you walk through the shelters keep an open mind........let your heart lead you! The kitten or cat for you is right around the corner.

Who We Are

Kitty Love is a small home based shelter for kittens and cats who come from situations of abuse, abandonment and neglect. We are supported solely through donations made by caring people. We offer our kitties the best of medical care, food and love until loving homes can be found. At this time the shelter has no funds so our doors are closed. We are concentrating on finding homes for those who are already here; some for many years.

Adopting a Friend

When you go to a shelter the cat you are adopting should be looked at as a companion who will grow old with you, who will share your happy times and your tears. Take time making your choice. Whether it is a kitten bouncing off the walls or a mature cat with a laid back manner the feline friend will be there for many years.

Volunteering and Donations

The shelter is in need of donations of both money and daily supplies. Because of that the shelter can only take care of the cats already living here. Our doors must be closed to any needing to come in until we again feel we can offer them the best in medical and daily care.
