News

October 2, 2008

I am so happy to announce that the CCC was picked as the first weekly $1,000 winner for America's Favorite Animal Shelter, sponsored by Care 2 and Adopt-A-Pet.Com. This is such exciting news, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their votes. We are still in the competiton to win $10,000, so make sure you vote for the CCC by clicking here!

Our dinner and live auction was also a great success. Thanks to you, the wonderful community, we were able to raise more than we anticipated: $7,271! As a small no-kill and non-profit cat shelter, this news is simply amazing. As we have told some, we are in the works of revamping our entire shelter to give our kitties the best care and attention possible. All of this money goes directly towards helping them until they are able to find their forever loving homes. To see some pictures of the volunteers in action and the specific amounts earned from the auction and dinner, please click on the auction link.

Several people have been asking if we are still doing our calendars this year. The answer is yes, and I am pleased to say I am personally playing a very active role in getting these calendars done. (In case you are wondering who "I" is, this is Heidi, the website and digital photography director.) Our fundraising committee took a little break after the long and arduous work of the auction, but we are now getting back on task and working on them. Our tentative date for having these calendars complete and ready to sell is November 1st. I will post an update on here once they are finished. Once again, thank you all for your generosity and support!

Who We Are

The Community Cat Connection, Inc. was established in 2003 by Trudy Charette to provide Dudley, Webster, Oxford, and surrounding communities with a viable option for control of the feral cat population. Since its inception, over 1,000 cats and kittens have been rescued. In addition to this much needed service, the CCC also provides assistance in the placement of kittens and cats which have been abandoned, surrendered, and rescued.
