WE NEED FOSTER HOMES-
If you are contacing us about an "orphaned" baby bird, please keep a few things in mind. 99% of birds are not orphaned but learning how to fly or have fallen out of their nest. Since it is false that birds can smell humans and wont care for their young, if you know where the nest is and it is in a location that you can reach it safely, please put it back in. The parents WILL care for it. If you take the bird into your care, while waiting for assitance, please do NOT feed it. Nothing in your home is on the birds natural diet...including bread.
WHO WE ARE
We are 2 former animal controls officers taking in and adopting out anything that walks, crawls, climbs, swims, slithers, flies and/or jumps. If it resembles an animal, we will help you the best we can, from helping with lost pets to helping find new homes. We do our best to help place animals that are no longer wanted. However we do not believe in "no-kill" shelters. Most shelters that claim to be no-kill are in fact often selective admision and will just turn away animals that they do not feel they can place. We however do feel that humane euthanasia can be a very effective tool when dealing with injured, sick, vicious or generally miserable animals that do not adjust to having left their own home. We do utilize rescue groups as often as possible in order to get high maintance or special care breeds/animals with the people that are able to care for them best. We are trained and experienced in animal rescue for both domestic and wildlife we have also been trained in animal assesment and treatment. We are willing to do rescue's whenever possible. We do not charge a fee for our rescue services, our goal is to releave the animal's stress and suffering as best and fast as possible while keeping human saftey a priority. If you need assistance with an animal, please feel free to contact us. We may be able to walk you through it without coming out.ADOPTING A FRIEND
All people interested in adopting an animal should contact us. There is an application to be filled out and all homes must meet the needs of the animal in question. Filling out an application does not guarantee you the animal.
