NEADS

Our Pet List

Please join us at our next Assistance Dog graduation on Sunday March 2, 2008 at 2pm at Four Points Sheraton in Leominster, MA

Who we are..

NEADS trains Hearing Dogs for people who are deaf and Service Dogs for people with physical disabilities.(It is the oldest continuing Hearing Dog program in the country.) Almost 100% of our Hearing Dogs are rescued from local animal shelters. Our Service Dogs are donated as puppies by generous breeders. They are fostered in homes by loving families until they are a year and a half old. Unfortunately, sometimes these puppies do not make it in our Service Dog training. This may either be due to a medical or a behavioral problem. These "Fabulous Flunkouts" are then placed in carefully screened homes.

Adopting a friend..

All Fabulous Flunkouts are shown by appointment only. You will be required to fill out an application form at the time of your appointment. All puppies/dogs are placed in the home which we feel best suits the animal, they are not adopted out on a "first come first served" basis! Adoption fees vary from $150 and up.

Come visit us..

Call Paula or Kerry at (978)422-0496, or Christy at (978)422-9064 ext. 20, for an appointment to see a Flunkout and for directions to our training center
