Who We Are
PAWS "Proponents for Animal Welfare in St. Tammany" is the animal welfare group that works with the animals that are brought into the St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services shelter. Our shelter is located in Abita Springs, La.
DONATIONS
WE ARE ALWAYS GRATEFUL TO RECEIVE CASH DONATIONS, OR DONATIONS OF SUPPLIES (ALL SIZES OF PLASTIC CRATES, PREMIUM DOG FOOD, TOWELS, BLANKETS, SHAMPOO.) FOSTER HOMES ARE A GREAT NEED. FOR EVERY FOSTER PARENT THERE IS ONE MORE DOG SAVED FROM THE SHELTERS. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING!
Come Visit Us!
Take interstate 12 to the Abita Springs exit (La. Hwy.59) go north to the town of Abita Springs. At the stop light you will see a gazebo. Turn right onto La. Hwy. 36 and go about 3 miles. You will see a large sign directing you to the animal shelter. Open Mon. thru Fri. 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. Closed Sat. Sun. and Holidays.
