Adopting A Friend
We require a home visit for all local adoptions. For long distance adoptions we can sometimes use a vet reference instead. All potential adopters must fill out and sign an application. The final approval is given by a representative from our organization and the animal's foster parent. Adoption fees vary. All animals are tested for contagious diseases and vaccinated before being adopted out. E-mail us at ukspca@hotmail.com to request an application or get more information.
Fostering and Helping Out
Like most rescues, UK SPCA can always use your help. We need foster homes for animals who haven't yet been adopted. We also need donations of food, toys, old towels and blankets, cages, carrying crates, and money. If you are interested in helping out, please contact us. Thank you for caring.
Contact Us
E-mails can be sent to ukspca@hotmail.com; responses may take up to a week. UK SPCA does not have an actual shelter facility - all of our animals are kept in foster care. If you are interested in adopting an animal and would like to meet him/her in person, we are happy to put you in touch with the foster parent and arrange a meeting. We have an office at the University of Kentucky in the Student Organizations Center. Our mailing address is UK SPCA, Office 9, Student Organizations Center, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506.
