Animal Guardian Angel Rescue is in need of volunteers who would be willing to care for one or two pets, who are in foster care, on an on-call basis when a foster parent must be out-of-town for a short period of time. Emergency boarding and pre-planned boarding homes are needed. The volunteer would normally be asked to care for a doggie for a one or two day period. Crates and food would be provided to the volunteer.
Who We Are
Animal Guardian Angel Rescue (AGAR) is a home operated organization that is committed to rescuing animals and placing them in loving and caring forever homes. Funding for AGAR comes solely from donations. Most of the animals that come to AGAR are saved from being euthanized in over crowded shelters, others are abandoned animals, or animals that are owner releases. Once in custody of Animal Guardian Angel Rescue, a veterinarian checks the overall health of the animal, and updates all vaccinations. We try to ensure that all dogs are housetrained and have some basic obedience before being placed in their adoptive homes. We are always in need of voluteers who can foster animals in need of loving homes.

We would greatly appreciate any donations in the form of:
monetary donations, dog food, cat food, blankets, towels, sheets, dog beds, dog houses, leashes, collars, money orders payable to E-town Animal Hospital, flea prevention products, crates, and etc.

Adopting a forever friend
We strive to place our dogs in the best homes that we can offer. The following conditions meet our standards for responsible pet care: The adopter agrees to provide the pet with a safe home and with proper care and attention. When the dog is outdoors, it shall be provided with protection from the elements and adequate food and water. The dog is not to be left in a small kennel or a pen for time spans exceeding 8 hours and keeping the dog on a chain is unacceptable. The adopter agrees to have the pet examined at least once a year by a veterinarian and it is agreed that the pet will receive adequate vaccinations and treatments to ensure good health. The pet should never for any circumstances be placed in a kill-shelter.
