FOSTER HOMES URGENTLY NEEDED!! The number of pets needing temporary placement keeps growing. If you have ever considered becoming a foster parent for a needy cat or dog, now is the time to make the commitment. Contact the HSJC and volunteer to help now!

Please Spay or Neuter Your Pet

NOW is the time to have that intact cat or dog or last fall's kitten or puppy spayed or neutered. The F.A.C.E. Clinic in downtown Indy does a great job and at tremendously reduced prices. See their web site at http://www.facespayneuter.org/
There are also wonderful vets all around the county you can contact to schedule your pet's spay or neuter. We have low cost certificates that you can print off of our website at http://www.hsjc.org/

You will be part of the solution by having your pet "fixed" - Call us if you have questions about why you should have your companion animal spayed or neutered. Or talk with your veterinarian. Please, make a difference and help prevent those unwanted litters...

Who We Are

MISSION STATEMENT

The Humane Society of Johnson County strives to benefit our community by:

*Enhancing the companion animal/human bond

*Facilitating adoptions

*Supporting spay/neuter programs

*Educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals.

At the present time, HSJC is a foster-based program with no shelter facility. We have recently purchased a property with lots of potential, but we've only had enough funding to renovate the executive office area. When complete, the Center will alow us to consolidate all of our services, house a limited number of animals (foster homes will still be used), and enhance the animal services available to the community. However, this will require lots of fund raising efforts and donations from community members like you.
Want to help? Contact us to be part of this exciting venture.

The Humane Society of Johnson County is NOT a government entity but a private, 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. We have no official connection with County Animal Control, but offer our assistance when possible.
