View Adoptable Cats View Adoptable Dogs View Adoptable Rabbits Who We Are The Almost Home Humane Society (formerly know as the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginnings more than 60 years ago, AHHS has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in its community. We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non profit we exist through the generosity of our community. Dog of the Week DEE DEE Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dee Dee is around 2-years old and enjoys being around people. She also gets along with other dogs, loves rolling around in the grass and is at the very least crate trained if not completely housetrained. She's a favorite of one of the staff members and would enjoy new faces and warm hearts to visit with.	Cat of the Week WHISPER Domestic Long-Hair Whisper is a quiet, relaxed 4-year old female cat. She was picked up by animal control a couple of months ago and has remained extremely calm and patient during her time at the shelter. She may seem a bit shy at first but would love to have those who are interested in meeting her come into the shelter and visit.
