Who We Are
The Muncie Animal Shelter provides animal control services for the residents of Muncie. The facility is located at 2401 S Gharkey St., Muncie, IN 47302.
People wanting to adopt an animal from the Muncie Animal Shelter must enter into the adoption with an adoption contract. The contract requires that all animals that have not been spayed or neutered, be spayed or neutered within 30 days after the adoption. That is a Muncie City Ordinance and must be followed or it could be up to a $500 fine.
All Rescue Organizations are welcome.
Our business hours are Monday - Friday from 9:30am11:00am We are closed for lunch and then 12:00pm-4:00pm.

Adopting a friend
Adoption fees are as follows:
Male dogs and cats $65.00 if not Neutered you will recieve a $30 voucher to apply to the cost of the Neuter.
Female dogs and cats $75.00 if not Spayed you will recieve a $40 voucher to apply to the cost of the spay.
*All animals will be micro-chipped before they leave the shelter!*
Any animal 4 months of age or younger are spayed or neutered.
