Adopting a Friend
Adoption fees vary depending on what you decide to adopt:
Dogs- $100
Cats-$80
Bunnies - $35
Guinea pigs - $10
Others - vary
All dogs, cats & rabbits are spayed and neutered before they go home.
All dogs & cats are AVID Microchipped when adopted.
If animal you are adopting has not been spayed/neutered yet and/or needs rabies vaccination, adopter is responsible for those and any other costs at vet.
Most animals cannot be taken home the same day as adoption due to procedures that need to be done at the vet prior to release.
If you are adopting a dog and have other dogs at home, please plan to bring your dogs to the shelter to meet the new dog prior to adoption.

We are located off Highway 13. If you are driving west leaving Carbondale, turn left (south) onto Wood Rd. at Milwood Executive Suites. A green Humane Society sign will point the way. If you are driving east leaving Murphysboro, turn right (south) onto Wood Rd.
Our hours are: Monday - Saturday 12 - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday 1 - 4:30 p.m.
