Want to Help?
We are always in need of your help. Whether it be voluntering your time with our fundraisers or adoption days, fostering a pet, taking pictures of our cats and dogs, or making a monetary donation or donating needed items to help support our organization. Some items needed: office supplies such as paper, stamps,
calling cards, cameras, etc.
Pet supplies: dog or cat food, toys, chew toys or bones, crates, outdoor kennels, fencing, collars, leashes, tie outs, or dog houses. We have needy dogs in our area that are in need of shelter and with your donations we have been able to give some of these unfortunate animals a warm and dry place to go.

Who We Are
PAW (People for Animal Welfare) is a small non-profit organization located in Northeast Iowa. We are dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in Northeast Iowa.. We currently offer a service to those in need of placing their pet. We have a small fee for this which helps support our spay an neuter program and other various services. We cannot take in owned dogs or cats because we are not a shelter and are limited on our foster homes. We need to keep these homes available for rescued pounds dogs and strays. Our biggest goal right now is to build an animal shelter for NE Iowa.

Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting a pet or you would like to learn more about our organization, please call Brenda at (563) 568-0000 or Paula at 563-539-4999 for more information. We can help you find a pet that is right for you! We do have an adoption fee to cover our medical expenses, but extra donations are always welcomed and needed. We are diligently working to build an animal shelter for Northeast Iowa companion animals, so donations of food, supplies and money are greatly needed and appreciated.

Currently we do not have a shelter, but if you are interested in adopting a pet, feel free to call us. We can schedule a time that will fit your needs to meet your next companion.
Decorah is a wonderful community located in Northeast Iowa. We are appr. 60 miles from Lacrosse, WI and Rochester, MN and appr. 120 miles from Cedar Rapids, IA.
