Union County Animal Care and Control is the primary agency responsible for public safety regarding animals. This office is responsible for enforceing the local animal control ordinance as well as state laws concerning animals. These laws include abandonment, cruelty, neglect, nuisance, rabies violations, and dangerous animals. At this time, this office is only impounding animals deemed to be dangerous, sick, or injured. We are committed to reaching our goal of no longer needing euthanasia as a means of population control. We currently have partnered with many other agencies, humane societies, veterinarians, rescue groups, and private individuals to make this goal a reality. Adopting a friend for life from us has never been easier.
All of our animals have had a behavior assessment, and all are altered prior to adoption. Included in your adoption fee are the first series of shots, 30 days free pet insurance, which may be continued by you at a bargain; new pet gift bags with coupons, and samples, and other spontaneous offers from time to time. Also every dog has a new collar (as supplies last) and an ID tag as well.
Adoption fees begin at $75.00. We only try to recover real monies we have invested in the animals such as medical expenses.
