PAWS Columbus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent overpopulation and suffering of companion animals, to teach kindness and responsibility toward them, and to promote the remarkable capacity of pets to enrich human lives through pet-assisted therapy programs. We work in partnership with the City of Columbus, GA to enhance and supplement the services offered by Animal Care and Control, reduce the need for euthanasia of unwanted animals because of severe pet overpopulation and find a loving and compatible forever home for every adoptable animal. PAWS is supported by private contributions from the citizens of our community. We are People Helping Animals, Animals Helping People.

Adopting a friend

Adoption Fees:
Puppies: $185 Small Dogs (25 lbs. and under): $185 Adult Dogs (5 months-6 years): $145 Senior Dogs (7 years+): $95 Senior Citizen Adoption for Dogs: $95 Adoption of 2 or more dogs: $50 discount with the exception of the already discounted Senior Citizen rate
Kittens (under 6 months): $115 Cats (6 months+): $95 Senior Citizen Adoption for Cats and Kittens: $75 Adoption of 2 or more cats: $25 discount with the exception of the already discounted Senior rate
