Our Featured Pet...

FLURREE
Flurree is a special boy. He is about 6 years old and has a beautiful coat! He was born blind and deaf. He is a sweetie who enjoys the company of other animals, but will do best as an only pet. He does get quite upset if he gets bumped into by the other pets or if they get too rough with him. Hey, give him a break he can't see or hear! He is very loving and devoted to his people. He'll follow you all around by your scent. He gets very sad when he is away from his people. He adapts easily to new environments and is quite bold and brave. He is very intelligent and will make a great companion dog.

WANT TO HELP??

We are always grateful for any donations (cash or supplies)! We are in need of newspapers, towels, blankets, dog food, cat food, etc. As a non-profit organization, it is a tax deduction, too! We are also ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. We need help on Saturdays with our adoptions at Petsmart in Gainesville. We also hope to find someone willing and able to help create our brochures, business cards, and even a documentary style informational video of our organization! If you are interested in helping us in any way, please contact us at 352-546-2781 or at animal peopleinc@yahoo.com

Who We Are

Animal People, Inc. is a non-profit animal rescue organization which was established in 1998. We rescue over 350 animals each year! We are committed to helping any animal in need. Through generous donations and fundraising, we welcome animals who would have little opportunity for survival either in the county shelter, humane society, or out on the streets. Animal People, Inc. not only helps animals in need, but is also committed to educating people about responsible pet ownership, proper pet selection, and what is necessary to be a good pet owner. We believe that all animals deserve a chance to enjoy a happy and love-filled life, free of abuse, suffering, and starvation. We are always sincerely grateful for any type of support or additional assistance which might help us change the lives of our rescued friends.

Adopting a friend

All of our rescued friends are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if necessary) or feline leukemia/FIV tested prior to becoming available for adoption. Each applicant must go through an extensive interview process to ensure a suitable home for our furry friends. At this time, dog and cat adoptions are $100 .
