News
Stray Aid & Rescue, Inc. was formed in order to educate and/or assist people who want to help the abandoned cats and kittens in our community. There are people who want to care for these cats, but need help and/or advice to trap/capture the cats in order to get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, etc. There are low or NO COST clinics available to perform these surgeries. If you are feeding a stray/abandoned cat that has not been spayed or neutered, DON'T WAIT. These un-neutered cats will contribute to the overwhelming numbers of cats/kittens that are living on the streets. Please call Diane @ 954-816-0799 or email us at mail@strayaid.com to discuss further. We take in abandoned kittens, pregnant cats or Mommy cats with newborns. We care for the kittens until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered, tested, etc. and permanent adoptive homes can be found. We place the Mommy cats up for adoption as well, after they are spayed, tested, etc. We have a limited amount of space. If we do not have room, we may have an alternative solution. Please call and ask!
Who We Are
Stray Aid & Rescue, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3), Florida Non-Profit , no-kill rescue group dedicated to help spay/neuter dogs and cats in our community. We want to prevent pet over-population and the killing of homeless pets that end up in our County shelters. We will educate the community about the benefits of spaying/neutering, so there?s a better understanding as to why it is so important, not only for the health benefit of the pet, but for the pet owner and for our community. We will educate the community about the availability of low cost or no cost spay/neuter surgeries. We will work with the feral cat colonies. We will help spay/neuter/vaccinate these cats in order to keep these colonies at a manageable level for the people who are feeding/caring for these feral cat colonies. We will rescue kittens from a life on the streets, provide them with proper care, medical attention, as well as permanent, loving homes.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescued cats/kittens you should go to "A Pets Place" and visit with our cats/kittens. We keep our website updated, so if its photo is there, the pet is available for adoption. Once you determine which pet you wish to adopt, you should fill out an adoption application (which are available at the pet store) and leave the completed application at the store for Diane to pick up. You should then contact Diane at 954-816-0799 to let her know you left the application and which pet you wish to adopt. Diane will review your application and follow up with you. Our goal is to place our pets in loving homes as soon as possible, so the adoption process can happen quickly. All of our kittens/cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, Aids/Leukemia tested and fecal tested prior to adoption.
The adoption fee is a $75.00 donation. All dog applications are taken via email. Please email Diane for a dog/puppy application at mail@strayaid.org Dog/puppy adoption fee is $150.00.
