Feature Pets
Holly and Brooke are our newly featured pets. They arrived starving, bloody, and hairless at a shelter in Port St. Lucie. The shelter did not have any room, so we took them in. Because they are very shy towards men they do not know, we think they were abused by their previous male owner. However, once they realize that you are their friend, they are the sweetest lab mixes you will ever come across. We wish greatly for them to find a home as a pair because they do everything together. Homes
We are in a need of permament homes for our difficult to place doggies: Bandit, Taz, and Katy. They need gentle and loving owners who have no young children who will also forever nurture their dynamic personalities. We would travel the lengths of the world to see these special doggies in a loving and forever home.
We would also greatly appreciate any monetary donations to help with our vet expenses. As of now we have quite a few old timers who are in need of much needed medical assistance. Please contact Alex at 561-929-0759. All your donations are tax deductable!
Who We Are
Founded in 2001, Raining Cats and Dogs is a no kill, non-profit organization. The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them. Some were even rescued from the effects of dangerous hurricanes. Unfortunately, we are currently NOT taking in any new rescues due to lack of space as well as monetary means. We adopt out our doggies at PetsMART on Glades and 441 in Boca Raton. We have a representative there Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm. Raining Cats and Dogs will gladly come to you if you are interested in a specific dog. We also encourage a fostering to adopt program to see if you and your new friend are compatable.
Adopting a friend
To adopt one of our animals, an application and donation are required. We also visit your home either prior to or at the time of adoption just to make the new adjustment process easier for our animals. The adoption fee is usually $100.00 for medium to large doggies and $200.00 for small doggies. The donation fee for Kitties is $65.00. If we have a special needs case, we gladly would accept whatever donation you would like to contribute.

See us at PETsMART! Call 561-470-8085 (the store) for exact directions. PETsMART is located on the southwest corner of Glades and 441 (State Road 7). We're there Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm.
