THE OASIS RANCH IS CLOSING!
Reluctantly, the decision to close has been made and now we are desperate to find homes for over 100 cats. Many of the cats are feral and do not want human contact. They would do well living in a barn where there is a lot of room for them to run and hide. Many are friendly to people and will let you pet them, but not pick them up. They need more time to trust people and their surroundings. There are a handful of friendly, healthy cats ready to go into a home now.
PLEASE, if you can help or know of a safe place we can relocate some of our cats let us know ASAP. Time is short before we have to make a second difficult decision and put them down.
Who We Are
At the Oasis Ranch it is our goal to operate a non-kill sanctuary for the care, treatment and maintenance of neglected, abused, injured, sick, afflicted and disabled animals, particularily horses and cats. PLEASE NOTE - Unfortunately we are not equipped to handle dogs and cannot assist in the rescue or fostering of dogs of any size.
We will rehabilitate and place for adoption those animals that have re-established trust in being handled by people through the loving, nurturing and caring atmosphere at the ranch.
For those cats and horses that cannot be rehabilitated, the Oasis ranch will provide a safe and comfortable haven with care given to those animals for the remainder of their natural lives.
We place great emphasis, as part of our mission, on educating the public about the importance of the humane treatment of animals through the production and distribution of materials through various media in order to communicate and create public awareness.
Adopting a friend
All of our cats have been considered unadoptable by other agencies. We do not believe that is always the case and look forward to giving many of these cats a chance at a long, happy life in a new loving home. We do not have a set adoption fee, however do require everyone to complete an adoption application before agreeing to any adoption.
Come Visit Us!
We do not have set visiting hours and therefore ask you to email for an appointment to visit the ranch and to meet our animals.
