Who We Are
We are a self supporting, nonprofit 501(c)3, volunteer organization established in 1988. We are dedicated to assisting bird owners in finding new, loving homes for their bird/s when they can no longer care for them. We also take in rescued pet birds providing physical and emotional rehabilitation when needed.
We believe that all pet birds deserve the highest quality care, love, and respect and that bird owners should have access to the most current bird care information as possible. Since, it's inception, Feathered Friends has placed nearly 1,000 pet birds in adoptive homes, permanent shelter, and in theraputic settings (nursing homes, day care centers, rehab. facilities, and etc.).
Adopting a Friend
Persons wanting to adopt a bird are throughly screened and must meet certain requirements before they are approved for adoption. See our home page for complete information on the steps required for adoption and services our program provides. We love the incredible response from everyone that visits Petfinders but, it is creating a problem for us in trying to answer all of the emails for information that can be found on our home page. Volunteering and Donations
We love our volunteers. Without them, we couldn't function. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents, please contact us. We do accept donations of bird related items and/or funds, which are tax deductable. Memberships to Feathered Friends are available.

We welcome visitors at our facility, but for the well being and security of our birds, please contact us for an appointment.
