Upcoming Events
Looking for a way to fulfill your New Year's resolution? Here's your chance: the Animal Shelter Assistance Program is seeking volunteers to help homeless pets find new families by working with animal shelters throughout the State of Connecticut. No experience is necessary, but a love of animals, commitment and desire to learn are required. The Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP) provides information and training resources, guidance, connections to other individuals working to help pets throughout the state and the framework to allow you to really make a difference. Whatever your area of interest, chances are ASAP can help direct your talents: from fundraising to grant writing to adoption counseling and working to train and socialize homeless pets, if you'd like to lend a hand, ASAP can help you figure out how!
The Animal Shelter Assistance Program, Inc. has been helping shelter pets find loving new families since its inception in 1999. Through extensive work in educating pet owners and adopters and the use of various media such as print, television, radio and the Internet to publicize homeless animals, ASAP has helped make thousands of successful adoptions. The nonprofit group is run entirely by volunteers, and is funded solely by private donations.
