Whiskers Animal Shelter
Every year more and more cats and kittens are left abandoned. Local animal control is overwhelmed with dogs and there is no help for the cats. Many suffer and die each year due to starvation, disease, poisoning, and abandonment.
Whiskers Animal Shelter is helping many of these cats and kittens each year. Unfortunately, many of them come into the shelter with health problems which require medical attention, vet care, and more importantly they need to be housed in an area where they cannot be contagious to other cats.

Pet of the Month
Meet our pet of the month...Though he does not have an official name yet, we call him Ragdoll as he is a Ragdoll mix. He is shy and will need a home with patience. He has befriended me at the shelter, but it took 4 months. He takes a while before he will trust you, but now, with me, he is very sweet.
Who We Are
We are a relatively small animal shelter, housing approximately 50 cats and kittens at any given time. Our love for animals is driving us forward as we continue establishing this shelter which focuses on abandoned mother cats with kittens and abandoned kittens.
Adopting a friend
If you are looking at the sites in Petfinder, and you have made your way to our site, we thank you. Adopting an animal is accepting a friend. There are too many animals to count who are homeless, and who need a friend and a good home. Please consider adopting a friend.
Come Visit Us!
Currently visits are arranged by appointment. All our boarders are housed indoors. The shelter is open on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm.

Donations are very welcome. We can use items such as cat food, bath towels, cat litter, paper towels, and miscelleanous cat items
