TRUMBULL ANIMAL SHELTER VIDEO - to be updated this week!
We have some great new stuff to include: Officer Dellabianca on a goat call, new video of Russell and some training tips from RALPHIE!.
SPONSORS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! FOBAS rescued and found homes for 211 pets so far for 2008! Each individual success story is possible because of people who care and continue to care about the animals. We live with our pets so we can be certain the pet we are adopting out is healthy and so that we can provide as much history on the pet as possible. We do not house our pets in horrible conditions so we can solicit pity from the public, we don't want pity for our pets, we want support. No one in this organization has ever been convicted or even accused of a crime. Soon, you will be hearing about one rescue whose director has felony convictions in several states and has three different people sharing his social security number. A con man pure and simple. Investigate before you invest.
Please think of sponsoring a shelter or homeless pet! if you are interested in any of the pets in this video, some are shelter pets and some are owned by FOBAS. Shelter pets are adopted out at the discretion of the Trumbull Animal Shelter. Under our adopt a shelter program, we also evaluate, provide medical services and post dogs for adoption from other shelters. You will be able to see where to locate the pet on the petfinder add or email me at VMARCONI@AOL.COM
F.O.B.A.S is a non profit, pet rescue organization that works with the Trumbull Animal Shelter and the Yonkers Animal Shelter to assist in the placement and needs of their pets. We also work independently rescuing pets from other Connecticut municipal shelters and out of state facilities. We are a true non profit - all volunteers donate their time. Every penny collected is used for the animals. We do not pay salaries and we don't just put out our hand for money without telling you how we will utilize the funding. We will use every penny on the animals. Every red cent for the pets and we will provide you with receipts. Think about sponsoring a shelter pet -it helps the pet get adopted when a family can be assured the pet is healthy, vaccinated, sterilized, and flea free.

WHERE ARE THE PETS? Most of the pets listed for adoption on this site are located at the Trumbull Animal Shelter, 324 Church Hill Road, Trumbull. Shelter hours are Monday through Saturday from 10-3:30 and Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7-9 (phone (203) 452-5088). All adoptions of pets at the Trumbull Animal Shelter are conducted by Officer Lynn Dellabianca and at her discretion. Trumbull shelter pets are evaluated by a vet for health - they routinely receive: heartworm/lyme test, deworming, flea preventative (if necessary), vaccinations and are sterilized prior to adoption depending on the age/health of the pet. So, a pet from this shelter is not likely to hit you in your pocketbook right out of the gate. Additionally, we have a licensed trainer/behavioralist (Ralphie!!!) to assist in introducing our pets to your pets and yes, WE HAVE VOLUNTEERS WORKING WITH THE PETS EVERYDAY! The result is that the Trumbull Shelter pets are housebroken in the kennel (they get out to exercise all the time), they receive two feedings a day (to reduce/eliminate stress), they have toys, attention and tons of love! When thinking of your next pet - think of a Trumbull pet. Officer Dellabianca requires that all family members meet the pet prior to adoption and if you have a dog, you will be required to bring your dog so we can see how the dogs get along. This helps to eliminate the risk taking involved with adoption a shelter pet. Walk away from any animal shelter that just hands you a leash and doesn't have their pets medically examined. They are taking your safety and the safety of the pet for granted. Any donation made to FOBAS is applied 100% to the animals.
FOBAS has a very active cat project that completely vetted about 200 cats last year. In addition to the catch and release policy for the pets that are not pet quality, we adopted out many more pet quality cats and kittens to homes.
