Our Pet List |
"Meet Lolllie! She is about 1.5 yrs old (as of 10/18), and came to us as a stray. We believe she is a Labrador Retriever/Beagle/Smooth Coated Collie mix. She is very pretty and has a nice tan and white coat. She weighs about 45 lbs. She has a great disposition. She is very friendly and loves attention. She is super affectionate and is happy to give you kisses. Just talk to her and pet her, and Lollie's day is made. She is happy and upbeat and always enjoys herself. Just look in Lollie's direction or start approaching her, and that tail will wag and wag. She is good with other dogs. We can take food from her, but is just a tiny bit grabby with treats. Nothing bad, and can easily be corrected. She is tolerant and did great during her temperament test. She is eager to please and should easily learn. Lollie will be a good companion. "
Lollie is now in our foster care and under going some basic training. She is learning by Clicker Method and is easily understanding basic concepts. She is energetic so she will need an active home that is willing to exercise her daily. She is very smart and eager to please so she will make a great companion for someone looking for a hiking partner. Please e-mail us for further information and an application.
Her adoption fee is $200.00 to residents of CT, MA or RI only please. No children under the age of 8 years old for this dog and no apartments for this dog, - please see our main page for details regarding the adoption process.

We will be doing several events this year with our new booth and promotional materials supplied by the Rally to Rescue program.
Must fill out application
form completely including a vet reference and phone number (if it
takes us time to research YOUR vets number its slows down your
application process). If you do not have a current vet you
must provide (3) personal references of non-family members. All potential adoptions DO
require a home visit by a member of our respected rescue
community. There are NO exceptions to this rule. If you live on a busy
street that is heavily traveled you will be required to have
conventional fencing of at least 4 ft in height. This means
chain link or stockade type fencing (no invisible fence, stone
walls or post and rail) Please NO children under
the age of 8 years for our young puppies You must be 21 years of age to legally adopt a dog from us since it requires signing a contract.
YOU MUST FILL OUT THE APPLCATION BEFORE VISITING THE ANIMAL OF INTEREST. This process can take up to
two weeks so if you are looking for instant gratification don't
bother filling out an application. We are all volunteers with
"real" jobs, foster dogs, fundraising activities and
family lives. If you are not serious about adopting and are
only window shopping - don't waste a rescue groups' time and we
won't waste yours. Also be courteous and if you have applications
on several puppies in several places please let all parties know
this information as it does make a difference in the decision making process. Who We Are
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on
helping the animals at the town municipal pound in Mansfield, CT. We raise
money in efforts of helping the pets at the shelter have a better life
while they are waiting for a new, loving home. Our goal in the future is
to see the shelter improved by rebuilding or renovation.
Adopting A Friend
We also have a very small program of rescue dogs that are
privately fostered by area homes. We have an occasionally pup or two that
is rescued from a kill shelter in another area or state. We have an
adoption process that includes application, interview, vet reference, home
visits and then finally meeting the animal. Otherwise our main focus is to
get the dogs from our local pound into new homes....you can see the
available dogs at the shelter: Mansfield
