Who We Are
We are a small rescue in Boulder County, Colorado, concentrating on Rottweilers, Rottweiler mixes, and the occasional Notweiler. We foster rescued dogs in private homes or occasionally board one in a rescue friendly kennel until a foster home opens up. We are not yet a 501(c)(3) although that may be in the future.
Adopting a friend
Adopting a dog from us, regardless of breed or mix, is much like adopting a child.
The first step in starting the adoption is to fill out an application, providing all of the information requested. After that, information will be verified, telephone conferences held, references checked, and home visits done.
After an adopter is approved, arrangements will be made to meet with available dogs. Please do not expect to come and see all or any of the dogs before applying and being approved. We hope you can understand why that is not possible.
We also network with other rescues in Colorado and adjacent states. If we do not have the right dog for you, one of them may. Our application allows the adopter to give permission to share it with other established rescuers that we know.

We require a contract and a donation to offset the veterinary expenses incurred for our rescues. The amount varies depending on whether the dog is purebred, mix, Notweiler, or special needs and in any event, never covers our expenses in saving these beautiful animals.
A formal obedience training set of classes is required of the adopter even if the dog already knows basic commands. If the adopter goes further and gets a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate for the dog, a partial refund of the adoption fee will be made.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative and on preventative, and microchipped. Adopters, are given copies of all of their veterinary records which they have since they came into our rescue.
