HELP FOSMAS BRING SOME SUNSHINE INTO STORMY'S LIFE!
FOSMAS got a call from a woman who had been feeding an injured kitten that she thought had been thrown from a car. She was recovering from surgery and couldn’t get the kitten to the shelter but knew she really needed help. One of our wonderful volunteers picked up the kitty right before the big storms hit the Bay Area and christened her Stormy. Stormy turned out to be an adorable little medium haired silver tabby that was just about the sweetest kitten you’d ever meet. Our volunteer reported the kitten had an injured leg and tail and made an appointment with the vet. Imagine our surprise when the exam and X-rays revealed that not only did poor Stormy have a dislocated ankle, but she also had a BB in her spine, missing teeth and trauma to both back feet! Someone had abused this sweet baby! The saddest part is that Stormy probably walked up to her abuser purring! The BB is lodged in her last vertebra, causing nerve damage and partial paralysis in her tail; ultimately her beautiful tail may have to be amputated. The dislocated ankle also has nerve damage and is now splinted. If the leg doesn't heal with the splint, she may need surgery to attempt to reattach the ligaments and tendons. If that fails, her leg will have to be amputated as well. In spite of the abuse and pain she’s suffered, Stormy can't wait to climb into a lap, purring, kneading and talking non-stop. Somehow, she still trusts and loves people. Her vet bills will be extensive, so we’re asking for help from caring people to make sure Stormy gets the best possible medical care. Any amount will help Stormy. If you are as heartbroken and outraged as we are about Stormy's abuse, please send your donation to Stormy’s Fund today. We want to show this little sweetie that her trust in mankind has not been misplaced.

FOSMAS has made a difference in the lives of countless animals. We couldn't do
what we do without the support of people like you. Thank you all for your
continued support of our efforts.

WILL WORK FOR FOOD?
FOSMAS has some beautiful cats who would love to fill the position of “resident mouser” in a safe environment. These wonderful kitties do not want to be showered with affection; all they need is a clean, dry shelter and fresh food and water daily. In exchange, they will help to clean up your rodent problems. They have been altered, tested for disease, vaccinated and micro-chipped. The adoption fee for a mouser is just $25.
Cats are nature’s pesticide. Not only will you be helping FOSMAS save lives while you rid your property of rodents, but you’ll also be helping the environment.
