Fred's Feline Friends
We can no longer accept any animals. Please don't ask us to. It hurts to have to say "No".
Pet of the Month
DALE
Dale has really started showing off his purrsonality. He loves to play, either by himself or with the other kittens or cats. But he's more than willing to spend time with you, reading, watching t.v., or just sleeping. All of our kittens are raised "under foot" and our 3 remining kittens have been bottle fed. Tough on them, but makes for some really sweet kittens. Give us a call if you'd like to meet either Dale or his friends Keibler and Juliette. We offer great "2fer" rates. Just ask us.
You can see photos of Keibler, Juliette, or Dale by clicking on their names.
On a sadder note, we have had to make the tough decision to no longer take in any more cats. It is a heart-rending decision to have to make, but we have to stand firm. If you need help placing a cat, we have lots of suggestions. But please don't ask us to take them; we hate to have to say "No".
Also, please don't forget about all of the wonderful older cats who would give anything for a lap of their very own! With a kitten, you never know quite how they are going to turn out. But our adult cats live in foster homes where we are able to really get to know them, so that we are then able to match the type of personality with what you are looking for. You might also consider adopting a mother/kitten combo. They are bonded for life & adjust very well to new circumstances.
News
When considering a new addition, whenever possible, it is best to let the new owner choose his or her new pet(s). Also when purchasing pets, please remember that they have needs; you wouldn't want to get a kitty home, even for one evening, without kitty having a litter box. If you are certain that that special person in your life will love a new pet, please feel free to call us so we can recommend the right pet for the right person. We can also give tips on what to look for in purrsonality and what types of toys and accessories will be useful in the pets' transition to a new life. We're here; use our experience. Again, we want to state that we never breed for kittens. All of our animals are saves and rescues.
Who We Are
Fred’s Feline Friends is a group of like-minded individuals which offers advice and assistance on neuter/spay and makes kitties available for adoption to loving homes. Under very special circumstances, we will also do feral trapping for trap/alter/release.
Adopting a Friend
We have an adoption process which includes a preliminary questionnaire, counseling regarding adoption, and a contract. Our current adoption fees run between $75 and $95 for an altered pet cat or kitten plus $20 for micro-chipping. This fee usually includes feline leukemia and feline infectious peritonitis testing, deworming, and vaccinations (age appropriate). If you might be interested in more than one kitty, we do offer a great reduced rate for a second kitty. Just ask if you're interested.
Volunteering and Donations
All of our cats are currently in foster homes. If you'd be interested in fostering a couple (or more) cats and/or kittens, please give us a call or drop us an e-mail. Volunteers and donations are greatly, GREATLY appreciated.
