You can also see more of our adoptable cats by checking the web at www.lapcats.petfinder.com. These cats have been in foster care and are now available for adoption through our LAPCATS off-site adoption venue at Laguna Petsmart in Elk Grove. For more information, email Barbaradoty@comcast.net or visit the adoption center M-Th 12-2, Sat-Sun 2-4.

When you visit the shelter to look for an animal you have found online, please bring the animal ID number listed on the animal's profile that starts with "A." It will make your search much easier!

You can also visit www.SacCountyShelter.net for more information on hours, adoptons and volunteering.

Donations

Donations are always needed to help us continue to make a difference for animals in our community. Donations can be sent to our non-profit affiliate, T.E.A.M. (Teaching Everyone Animals Matter) at:
4290 Bradshaw Rd. , Sacramento CA 95827

These funds help equip the medical trailer, provide veterinary care for sick and injured animals, and support the foster program. T.E.A.M. also provides funds to help the animals as requested by the shelter.

Adopting a friend

Visit us in-person to find your new furry friend! New animals arrive at the shelter daily, so all adoptable animals in our shelter may not be on Petfinder yet. Also, animals on this site may have been recently adopted. You can find a full list of all animals currently at our shelter by searching our intake database. Animals that came to us as strays are placed up for adoption after a 5 day holding period.

We are unable to "hold" animals and do not do adoptions online or by phone.
